Areproducible sheet of Proofreading Marks see page 10 helps familiarize students withthe standard form for marking corrections on written text.
Full-page Editing Keys showcorrections for all errors in the daily paragraphs. Error Summaries help teachers identifthe targeted skills in each weeks lessons, and therefore help teachers plan to review orintroduce the specific skills needed by their students.
The weeklyfour-paragraph compositions cover a broad range of expository and narrative writingforms from across the curriculum, including the following: Somestudents may bel more successfulif you share theError Summarywith them before they read and editthe paragraph. Each Friday lesson consists of a writing prompt that directs students to write in responseto the weeks four-paragraph composition.
